We are currently looking to recruit a full-time Shift Technician to join our Maintenance Department.
As a Shift Technician, you will support day-to-day maintenance activities, including fault finding, preventive maintenance, project support, and continuous improvement initiatives across production equipment and systems. As a shift technician, you are the primary key person during morning shifts, afternoon shifts, night shifts, and weekends for plant stability and emergency response.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with the department head or engineer regarding tasks and assist in additional departmental activities as required.
- Assist in problem-solving on plant systems, production equipment, and general plant services.
- Act as a primary key person during afternoon shift, night shift, and weekends for plant stability.
- First responder for emergencies, alarms, and breakdowns during shift.
- Continue with corrective action duties when no emergencies are present.
- Coordinate with day-afternoon-night shift respectively for proper handovers and unresolved issues.
- Support new equipment installations and ongoing project implementations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
- Accurately document work activities, maintenance reports, and logs in a timely and organized manner.
- Maintain and ensure correct operation of the spare parts inventory system, following established policies and procedures.
- Actively participate in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities and implement improvements accordingly.
- Promptly inform the department head of any maintenance issues that may cause disruption to production or plant operations.
- Carry out fault-finding activities on production and general plant systems as required.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks on equipment and facilities, including HF72, HF78, and Marsa sites.
- Report any breach of health and safety regulations by employees or contractors.
- Supervise contractors on site, as directed by superiors.
- Be part of the designated fire team
- Serve as a certified first aider on site
- Ensure adherence to company compliance standards and quality requirements, including IATF 16949.
- Comply with and implement all health, safety, and environmental sustainability policies and procedures, as per EHS standards.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Company.
- Compliance with the requirements of the ISO14001 environment management system and the ISO45001 occupational health and safety management system.
- Responsible for reporting any hazards / near misses / incidents that you’re aware of immediately to the area management.
What We Are Looking For
- HND or MQF Level 4 qualification in a relevant field and Wireman A & B Licenses
- Experience within the field
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Computer literacy
