Jobtailor is seeking a Senior Technical Architect to shape Java-based architectures for complex European enterprise systems. You’ll drive decisions on cloud platforms, microservices, and containerization, ensuring scalable and robust solutions.

You’ll collaborate with development teams and stakeholders, champion coding best practices, and contribute to architectural standards across programs funded by European institutions.

• Design and define Java-based technical architectures for enterprise systems
• Lead architecture decisions related to cloud platforms, microservices, and containerization
• Ensure code quality through unit testing and integration testing strategies
• Collaborate with development teams, business stakeholders, and technical stakeholders
• Contribute to technical standards and architecture best practices
• Deliver robust, scalable solutions within technology projects for European institutions

Requirements

• Solid experience as a Technical Architect, with a strong focus on the Java ecosystem
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, or similar)
• Experience with microservices and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with unit testing and integration testing
• Senior-level background in software architecture
• Knowledge of eAudit in the context of the European Commission (nice to have)
• Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) (nice to have)
• Experience with public grants management processes (nice to have)
• Prior involvement in European open source projects (nice to have)
• Experience with business workflow orchestration (nice to have)
