Job summary

Pauwels Consulting in Brussels is seeking a Senior System Engineer to manage and optimize a large-scale endpoint infrastructure across Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS. You will plan and maintain end-user devices to ensure high availability and efficient operation.

You will evaluate infrastructure, define upgrades, implement hardware and software changes, and provide ITIL-based support. Collaboration with stakeholders to align designs with architecture and security requirements is required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of system engineering in large-scale environments (100k+ endpoints).
• Expertise in Intune MDM/MAM/CA and EMS Suite.
• Deep SCCM knowledge focused on software management and task sequences.
• Cross-platform infrastructure experience: Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, iOS.
• Strong AD/LDAP/GPO management experience.
• Broad Azure/Office 365 expertise with security tooling (Windows Defender).
• Scripting proficiency in PowerShell and VBScript.
• Solid networking knowledge: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP.

Responsibilities

The role involves technical planning and maintenance of end-user devices across various platforms to ensure high availability and efficiency. This position focuses on delivering robust backend and endpoint solutions for a vast user base.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate backend and endpoint infrastructure to define upgrades, changes, and expansion proposals.
• Perform feasibility studies and evaluate hardware and software solutions to meet infrastructure needs.
• Develop technical designs aligned with specific architecture requirements for end-user devices.
• Implement hardware and software upgrades to support new projects and enhance existing systems.
• Provide high-level support and maintenance for the IT infrastructure following ITIL methodologies.
• Advise stakeholders on technical possibilities and limitations within the existing technology stack.
• Collaborate on improving procedures and workflows within the department and specific projects.

Requirements

• You have 10+ years of experience in system engineering within large-scale environments managing over 100,000 endpoints.
• You possess expert knowledge of Intune, including MDM, MAM, BYOD, Conditional Access Policies, and Enterprise Mobility + Security Suite.
• You bring in-depth expertise in System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), focusing on software management and task sequences.
• You're experienced with infrastructure stacks across Windows, MacOS, Linux, Android, and iOS.
• You have deep knowledge of Active Directory, LDAP, and GPO management.
• You possess broad expertise in Azure, Office 365, and security tools like Windows Defender.
• You're proficient in scripting with PowerShell and VBScript.
• You have a strong understanding of networking protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
• You hold a Bachelor's degree and certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, or MCSD.
• You are fluent in Dutch or French with very good English.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with ServiceNow and PM² methodologies.
• Knowledge of third-party MDM solutions like Knox or KAI.
• Familiarity with patching tools such as PatchMyPC.
• Proactive ability to maintain security processes and standards aligned with business objectives.
