Thales seeks a Senior Solution Architect Counter UAS in Belgium to lead architecture vision and define optimal architectures. You will collaborate with engineering offices, challenge approaches and validate design decisions to meet stakeholder expectations.

You will evaluate candidate architectures, document artefacts, and support the co-engineering approach across the project lifecycle, including KPI-related requirements and technical negotiations.

Formación

• Master degree and substantial architecture/engineering experience.
• Knowledge of military domain and operational analysis.
• Familiar with architecture frameworks and design tools.
• Basic NATO interoperability standards knowledge.
• Understanding of sensors, weapon systems and C2 concepts.
• Open to co-engineering with Lean Thinking and Obeya.

Your role:

As part of the Technical Directorate of Thales Belgium, you will be responsible for steering the technical policy and solutions matters, in strong cooperation with other engineering offices. You will provide senior expertise to support architecture definition, challenge engineering approaches and validate design decisions.

Your mission:

• Contribute to establish architecture vision, in particular identify stakeholders' concerns, system's boundary and context
• Define, evaluate and recommend candidate architectures to meet stakeholder expectations
• Establish the solution architecture by making trade-offs between stakeholder expectations, technical and technological solutions and costs, product policy, risks and schedule, document the associated artefacts and approve the resulting lower-level specifications
• Assist in the solution development cycle and in defining the co-engineering approach
• Manage, throughout the project lifecycle, the key and critical requirements and in particular those related to KPIs and KPPs, the technical negotiation between the different stakeholders and the architectural changes.

What we are looking for:

• You graduated with a Master of Engineering or Computer Science or in University, and you have significant experience in architecture and engineering of systems.
• You have a knowledge of the military domain, including military operational analysis.
• You are familiar with concept, design, experimentation and simulation tools, as well as architecture frameworks (such as Arcadia or NAF).
• You have basic knowledge of NATO interoperability standards
• You have basic knowledge of the functions and performance of sensors such as radars, passive electromagnetic sensors, or optronic cameras.
• You have basic knowledge of the functions and performance of weapon systems such as missile launchers.
• You have basic knowledge of military command and control systems
• You are able to work in co-engineering in particular with specialists (Lean Thinking, Obeya...)
