Job summary

Mobile Locker, a Belgium-based company, is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable web apps with Symfony at the core. You will contribute to architecture, ensure security and performance, and develop APIs supporting asynchronous communication.

You will work across the stack with Vue.js on the frontend and PHP/Symfony on the backend, implement automated testing, and collaborate with DevOps on GitLab CI/CD to improve deployment practices.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as a full stack or backend engineer.
• Strong expertise with Symfony and PHP ecosystem.
• Solid understanding of web architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
• Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., MySQL/PostgreSQL) and caching solutions.
• Comfort with asynchronous programming and distributed systems concepts.
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker).
• Experience with automated testing tools and quality assurance workflows.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative, agile environment.
• Strong communication skills in English

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable web applications with Symfony at the core.
• Contribute to system architecture and solution design, ensuring security, performance, scalability and maintainability.
• Develop APIs and integrations supporting asynchronous communication patterns.
• Work across the stack, with opportunities to contribute to frontend features (Vue.js) and backend services (PHP/Symfony).
• Implement and maintain automated testing strategies, ensuring high code quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with DevOps on CI/CD pipelines (GitLab) and contribute to deployment best practices.
• Mentor team members, share knowledge, and actively participate in technical discussions and code reviews
