Spraying Systems MENA is seeking an experienced Specialty Injectors Team Leader to oversee the full lifecycle of our specialty injector products, from engineering and development to manufacturing and quality assurance. Responsabilités

• Lead engineering team to design and develop specialty injectors per customer requirements.
• Maintain welding documentation (PQR, WPS, WPQ) and coordinate welding qualification.
• Collaborate with CNC machining design team to ensure manufacturability.
• Develop engineering docs: CAD, calculations, risk assessments, drawings, manuals, process specs.
• Oversee testing and validation to meet quality and performance standards.
• Implement continuous improvement to reduce lead times and costs.
• Oversee production planning, scheduling and execution with workshop coordinator.

Specialty Injectors Team Leader

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Specialty Injectors Team Leader to oversee the complete lifecycle of our specialty injector products, from engineering and product development to manufacturing and quality assurance. This role requires a deep understanding of mechanical design regulations like ASME and PED, leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various teams to meet production and design specifications.

The position will require technical expertise in welding processes (ASME IX, EN ISO 3834), design regulations like ASME B31.3 and EN 13480 (PED), quality assurance, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Engineering & Product Development

• Lead the engineering team in designing and developing specialty injectors to meet the specifications provided by our customers (by analyzing customer requirements and tender documents).
• Maintain welding documentation such as PQR, WPS and WPQ, and coordinate the welding qualification for new materials as required.
• Work closely together with CNC machining design team to ensure manufacturability and optimize designs for CNC machined parts.
• Develop engineering documentation, including CAD models, calculations, risk assessments, technical drawings, Installation & Operation Manuals, and process specifications.
• Oversee the testing and validation of new designs to ensure compliance with quality and performance standards.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce lead times, and optimize production costs.
• Manufacturing Oversight:
• Together with the workshop coordinator, oversee production planning, scheduling, and execution to deliver the injectors on time and within budget.
• Ensure compliance with welding standards, such as ASME, PED, and any customer- specific requirements.
• Monitor production metrics, identify process inefficiencies, and implement corrective actions to maintain optimal performance.
• Ensure all production activities comply with safety standards, quality management systems, and best manufacturing practices.
  
  

Quality Assurance & Compliance

• Create procedures to become a PED certified factory (to be integrated in ISO system).
• Implement and monitor quality control processes to ensure all welding and assembly work meets or exceeds relevant codes, standards, and customer expectations.
• Review welding documentation, including weld maps, procedures, and qualifications, to ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with the Quality Assurance (QA) team to resolve any non-conformance issues and maintain a high standard of product integrity.
  
  

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate production records, including work progress, material usage, and labour allocation.
• Prepare and present regular performance reports, highlighting key production metrics, quality issues, and improvements implemented.
  
  

Team Leadership

• Lead and mentor a team of injector design engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, technical excellence, and continuous learning.
• Set clear performance goals and conduct regular evaluations to drive individual and team performance.
• Provide technical support and hands-on guidance in resolving complex engineering issues.
• Promote a strong focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the team.
• Motivate and inform the team to work safely and environmentally friendly, following work instructions and preventive measures.
• Support and assist in the development of all corporate objectives, the ISO9001 quality system, ISO 14001 environmental system, the local improvement program monitored by our 20 keys program within the team, continuous improvement, and best practices.
  
  

Qualifications

• Education & Experience:
• Proven experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment, preferably involving welding and fabrication.
• Strong technical knowledge of piping design and welding processes, standards (ASME, PED), and materials.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes related to specialty injectors or similar products.
• Experience working with CNC machined parts and coordinating with other production teams is a plus.
• Skills:
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
• Strong understanding of piping design, welding codes, standards, and compliance requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, welding specifications, and tender documents.
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to manage production schedules and quality control processes.
• Proficiency in using production management software and ERP systems.
• Certifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• A Higher Technical Degree is a Plus.
• A minimum of 10-year experience in a relevant field.
• Having an IWE degree is a plus.
• Good knowledge of ASME and PED design codes and standards is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of integrated management systems (ISO, etc.) and life cycle environmental assessment is preferred.
