Spraying Systems Ltd in Deinze is seeking a Project Engineer to lead end-to-end design and follow-up of customised AutoJet spray systems, from initial quotation support through final commissioning. You will translate customer requirements into manufacturable designs, coordinating with workshop, purchasing and planning to ensure on-schedule production.

This role requires a mechanical/electromechanical engineering degree, strong CAD skills, CE safety knowledge, and English fluency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (mechanical, electromechanical, or equivalent).
• Experience in project engineering, preferably in machine building or industrial systems.
• Knowledge of CAD software and CE safety standards.

Project Engineer

Employment at our brand new facility in Deinze.

Your Duties And Responsibilities:

The Project Engineer is responsible for the end-to-end design and follow-up of customised AutoJet spray systems. From initial quotation support through final commissioning, this role translates customer requirements into manufacturable system designs.

This position is central to AJTB's core business: delivering complex, automated spray solutions that meet exact customer specifications within time and budget constraints.

Project Design & Execution

• Design and engineer AutoJet spray systems from start through delivery. You ensure that delivery deadline are met.
• Create and maintain project documentation including technical drawings, BOMs, and specifications.
• Coordinate with workshop, purchasing, and planning to ensure on-time production.
• Support system commissioning at customer sites when required.

Technical Coordination

• Interface with Application Engineers and Sales to translate customer needs into technical solutions.
• Collaborate with Electrical Design Engineers and PLC programmers on control system integration.
• Ensure designs comply with CE safety standards and company engineering guidelines.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities for design standardisation and cost reduction.
• Contribute to development of new product features and system capabilities.

Required Qualifications:

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (mechanical, electromechanical, or equivalent).

Experience

• Experience in project engineering, preferably in machine building or industrial systems.
• Understanding of spray processes is an advantage.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of AutoDesk Inventor (preferred) or equivalent CAD software.
• Optional: Knowledge of Eplan and/or Siemens PLC platforms.
• Understanding of CE compliance and machine safety standards.
• Basic knowledge of life cycle environmental assessment.

Language Skills

• English — fluent (written & oral) — required.
• Other European languages are an asset.
