Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Actuarial Science or equivalent.
• Relevant experience in Life insurance, solvency, capital modelling or actuarial modelling.
• Proficient with MS Office and programming languages (Python). Knowledge of Prophet is an advantage.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to structure and interpret complex data.
• Excellent communication skills to present results to diverse stakeholders.
• Professional level of Dutch in a Dutch-speaking environment.

Our client, an international insurance company, is looking for a Solvency & ALM Actuary to support the Finance Actuarial & Reinsurance division.

He/she will be in charge of the following tasks:

• Perform quarterly calculations and conduct valuation, risk and capital analyses (e.g. Solvency II framework, stress testing, ALM) for Life liabilities and related assets, and report results to management and the Group.
• Oversee valuation and risk management processes, identify areas for improvement and contribute to updates or enhancements of projection models.
• Interpret valuation and risk results, translate them into clear insights for internal stakeholders, and formulate actionable recommendations.
• Analyse product changes, regulatory developments and external factors, converting them into model adjustments or decision-support reporting.
• Ensure continuous monitoring and structured documentation of results for business teams, risk management, accounting and leadership

Profile

• Master’s degree in Actuarial Science or equivalent.
• Relevant experience in Life insurance, ideally with exposure to solvency, capital modelling or actuarial modelling.
• Proficient with standard IT tools (MS Office) and programming/statistical languages (e.g. Python). Knowledge of Prophet is an advantage.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to structure and interpret complex data.
• Effective communication skills, capable of presenting technical results clearly to diverse internal stakeholders (business, risk, accounting, management).
• Professional level of Dutch and capable of working in a Dutch-speaking environment.
