Asquare Partners is assisting an international insurance client in finding an Experienced Life Actuary in Belgium. The role supports the Finance Actuarial & Reinsurance division and focuses on IFRS17 and BGAAP calculations for Life portfolios.

The candidate will define actuarial assumptions for pricing, monitor portfolio profitability, and analyse technical reserves. Strong Dutch and English skills are required, with a proactive, structured, team-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in actuarial science with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of Life insurance; familiarity with other insurance domains is an asset.
• Advanced skills in MS Office, ability to work with large data sets and use statistical tools.
• Knowledge of IFRS17 and Prophet actuarial modelling software is a plus.

Our client, an international insurance company, is looking for an Experienced Life Actuary to support the Finance Actuarial & Reinsurance division.

He/she will be in charge of the following tasks:

• Perform quarterly BGAAP and IFRS calculations for Life portfolios and report findings to management and the company.
• You contribute to the technical pricing of new premiums by defining actuarial assumptions and monitoring the portfolio to ensure profitability.
• Conduct actuarial analyses on the valuation of the technical reserve and provide meaningful business insights.
• Present results clearly and effectively to internal stakeholders.
• Analyse product, regulatory and market developments, translating them into models, indicators and reports that support decision-making within the company.

Profile

• Master's degree in actuarial science, with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of Life insurance; familiarity with other insurance domains is an asset.
• Advanced skills in MS Office, ability to work with large data sets and use statistical tools.
• Knowledge of IFRS17 and Prophet actuarial modelling software is considered a plus.
• Excellent command of Dutch and good working knowledge of English.
