Job summary

Parking.brussels is seeking a Senior Solution Architect / Lead Developer to own application, integration, data and security architecture while remaining hands‑on in delivery. You will lead refinement, estimation, technical risk management and engineering standards for a small team in a hybrid Brussels setting.

The role requires 8+ years of software engineering, 3+ years of technical leadership and strong Azure, Java or Python skills.

Qualifications

8+ years software engineering experience.

Hands‑on live project leadership.
End‑to‑end production delivery.
Azure public cloud expertise.
Hybrid environment working experience.
Java or Python proficiency.
Cross‑language code review capability.

Responsibilities

Own application, integration, data and security architecture; keep designs implementable by a small engineering team.
Lead delivery refinement, estimates, definition of done, stand‑ups and technical risk management.
Translate business needs into executable backlogs; protect scope against ignored technical debt and risks.
Coach medior developers; review designs and code; improve engineering quality without blocking delivery.
Define engineering standards for Git, branching, CI/CD, automated tests, environments and releases.
Coordinate client, product, infrastructure and security stakeholders as their technical counterpart.
Produce architecture artefacts including SADs, ADRs, diagrams and interface contracts; maintain them.
Identify security, performance, operability, vendor lock‑in and delivery risks; mitigate through production.
