Job summary

AXA Belgium is seeking a Solution Architect to drive the Employee Benefits transformation. You will connect business goals with technology, shaping target architecture and coordinating across architecture, security, engineering, and delivery teams in a multi‑year program.

You will guide solution options, promote reuse, and document key decisions while collaborating with enterprise and business architects to ensure successful delivery. Fluent English with French or Dutch is required.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of relevant experience including 3 years in solution architecture on large transformation programs.
• At least five years of experience in solution or software architecture.
• Strong knowledge of integration patterns (APIs, services, event‑driven architecture) and architectural concepts (SOA, microservices, domain‑driven design).

Responsibilities

• Build a strong understanding of the Employee Benefits domain, its priorities, and its challenges.
• Define target architecture and transformation roadmap for the domain.
• Design pragmatic solutions balancing architecture, business outcomes, delivery timelines, budget, security, and non‑functional requirements.
• Propose innovative approaches using modern architectural patterns and technologies.
• Develop solution options, explain trade‑offs, and align stakeholders across business, architecture, security, and delivery.
• Promote reuse of existing capabilities and create reusable assets.
• Document key architectural decisions across application cooperation, identity management, information and technology viewpoints.
• Guide delivery teams to stay aligned with the architecture.
• Collaborate with Enterprise and Business Architects, Delivery Managers, and engineers.
• Act as a sparring partner and coach within the architecture and engineering community.
