Job summary

Octinion in Leuven is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to take accountability of the full software architecture and implementation within multidisciplinary teams for agriculture and food projects.

You will design software as part of a team that collaborates with mechanics, electronics and vision specialists, delivering robust solutions on prototype and production stages.

Qualifications

• Master in Industrial or Engineering Sciences (or equivalent via experience).
• Strong knowledge of C/C++, knowledge of Python and/or IoT is an advantage.
• Excellent knowledge of Dutch and English (written and oral).
• Able to work in a team and strive for quality while meeting deadlines and budget.

You'll focus on designing software as part of our multidisciplinary commercial projects team, implementing mechatronic solutions in the agriculture and food sector

As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll take accountability of the full software architecture and implementation.

We focus on a multidisciplinary approach, which implies that you'll work closely together with your colleagues who specialize in mechanics, electronics and vision. You'll become part of a team that handles commercial projects, primarily for the agriculture and food industry.

Your profile

• You have a Master in Industrial or Engineering Sciences (or equivalent through experience)
• You have a strong knowledge of C/C++, knowledge of Python and/or IoT is an advantage.
• Any self-taught technical knowledge is a strong advantage.
• You have high standards and strive for perfection, but you also know how to be pragmatic in order to respect the deadlines and budget.
• You communicate well and are able to work in team.
• Excellent knowledge of Dutch and English is required (written and oral).
