• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field as a minimum requirement.
• 5–10 years of web software development experience.
• Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot; modern frontend experience (VueJS or React).
• Experience with APIs, microservices and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with regulated environments and quality standards in software.
• Excellent English communication; French is a plus.

Responsibilities

As part of our client’s Software, Digital & AI Team, we are looking for a Mid to Senior Software Engineer to contribute to the development of innovative digital solutions in the medical technology sector.

In this role, you will design, develop and maintain high-quality software solutions within a regulated environment. Working closely with Product Management, Architecture, AI, Clinical, Regulatory and Quality teams, you will contribute to building secure, scalable and reliable software while meeting high standards of quality, performance and regulatory compliance

• Design, develop, test and maintain software applications, platform services and system components across Digital & AI portfolio, translating product requirements into robust and maintainable software solutions.
• Develop cloud, desktop, web and edge software components, including APIs, microservices and integration services that support imaging, AI and clinical workflows.
• Develop automated unit, integration and system-level tests, participate in code reviews and contribute to CI/CD pipelines to ensure software quality, reliability and efficient product releases.
• Implement secure software development practices, contribute to design verification and validation activities, and maintain the technical documentation and traceability required for regulated medical device software.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve software issues, improve system performance and maintainability, and contribute to the ongoing evolution of Digital & AI platform.

Profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 5 (Mid-) to 10 (Senior) years of experience in web software development using technologies like Java, Spring boot, and a modern Java/Typescript framework like VueJS or React.
• Proven experience developing applications using modern programming languages and software engineering best practices.
• Experience designing and developing cloud, desktop, web or edge applications using modern software architectures.
• Experience developing APIs, microservices and distributed software systems.
• Experience with automated testing, CI/CD pipelines and Agile software development methodologies.
• Experience with SaMD, AI-enabled medical devices, digital pathology, or medical imaging is highly desirable; a strong willingness to learn the healthcare domain will also be considered.
• Experience working within regulated environments (FDA, EU MDR, ISO 13485, IEC 62304 and ISO 27001) is an advantage.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, innovative scale-up environment.
• Excellent written and verbal English required; French would be an advantage.
