EY is seeking a Developer within the Tax Technology Office to design, build and safeguard platforms that power Tax & Law's technology ecosystem. You’ll balance speed, quality and sustainability while coaching teammates and shaping architecture decisions.

You’ll apply hands-on development with leadership, focusing on scalable, secure, and auditable software delivery across global EY teams and client missions, including AI-enabled approaches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related discipline.
• 3–5 years building and maintaining business-critical applications.
• Fluent in English; Dutch and/or French are a strong asset.

As a Developer within the Tax Technology Office, you will play a pivotal role in building and safeguarding the platforms that power Tax & Law's technology ecosystem. You will help ensure that our business-critical applications remain scalable, secure and maintainable while reducing dependency on individual experts and establishing engineering excellence across the team.

You will combine hands-on development with technical leadership, helping shape architecture decisions, coaching colleagues and driving best practices that enable sustainable growth.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with global EY teams and contribute to strategic technology decisions.

Your Profile

• You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline.
• You have 3-5 years of experience building and maintaining business-critical applications.
• You are highly proficient in .NET / C#, REST APIs and modern application architecture.
• You are comfortable designing both back-end and front-end solutions.
• You have strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure, cloud architectures and DevOps practices.
• You have experience with CI/CD pipelines, source control and automated deployments.
• You have experience with SQL, data modelling and application integration.
• You have experience coaching developers, conducting code reviews and raising engineering standards.
• You value documentation, knowledge transfer and maintainable code.
• You have a strong business mindset and understand how technology creates measurable value.
• You are fluent in English. Dutch and/or French are a strong asset.
• You thrive in fast-moving environments and enjoy taking ownership of complex challenges.
• Bonus: you're familiar with AI-based coding assistants (e.g. Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Replit, Cursor) and know how to use them to boost productivity.
