Ernst & Young in Belgium invites you to join its Assurance practice as a Junior Technology Risk Consultant, starting September 2027. You’ll work across industries, helping clients manage technology risks, perform IT audits and strengthen governance, risk and compliance frameworks with state‑of‑the‑art platforms and tools.

You’ll gain hands‑on experience with SAP, Oracle and cloud environments while developing your technical, analytical and advisory skills in a dynamic, international setting with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Business Engineering, Applied Economics, Commercial Sciences, Computer Science, Cyber Security, Data Analytics, AI or related field.
• Strong interest in technology, digital transformation, cyber security, AI, cloud computing, and technology risk management.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Dutch.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Familiarity with data analytics, scripting, automation, or AI-enabled tools is a plus.
• Comfort using AI tools to enhance productivity and research.
• Knowledge of COBIT, ITIL, ISO 27001, NIST or related certifications is a plus.
• Team player with curiosity and ownership.
• Thrives in a dynamic, international, multidisciplinary environment.
• Available to start in September 2027.

Responsabilités

• Assess the reliability and security of technology environments supporting financial reporting and operations.
• Perform IT audits as part of financial statement audits (access management, change management, IT operations, cybersecurity).
• Gain hands-on experience with SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, and cloud environments.
• Interview stakeholders, analyze processes, review configurations, and test controls.
• Use data analytics, AI, and audit tech to identify anomalies and opportunities for improvement.
• Support technology assurance, certification, and attestation engagements (ISAE, SOC, ISO, regulatory).
• Help clients address cyber security, digital resilience, AI, cloud, and evolving regulations like NIS2, DORA, CSRD.
• Translate findings into clear, practical recommendations for clients.
• Develop technical, analytical and consulting skills through learning and coaching.
• Establish a solid foundation in IT auditing and technology assurance while growing exposure to broader risk engagements.

As a Technology Risk Analyst, you will be at the intersection of business and technology. You will support organizations in understanding and managing technology-related risks, while gaining hands‑on experience in IT audits, certifications, digital trust and emerging technologies. Together with experienced professionals, you will help clients strengthen their governance, risk and compliance frameworks and build confidence in an increasingly digital world.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Assess the reliability and security of the technology environments that support companies’ financial reporting and business operations.
• Perform IT audits as part of financial statement audits, focusing on areas such as access management, change management, IT operations, cybersecurity, and automated business controls.
• Gain hands‑on experience with leading technologies and ERP platforms, including SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, and cloud environments.
• Interview client stakeholders, analyse processes, review system configurations, and test key controls to understand how technology risks are managed.
• Use data analytics, AI, and audit technologies to identify anomalies, trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Support technology assurance, certification, and attestation engagements, including ISAE, SOC, ISO, and regulatory compliance assessments.
• Help clients address emerging challenges related to cybersecurity, digital resilience, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and evolving regulations such as NIS2, DORA, and CSRD.
• Work closely with colleagues and clients to translate technical findings into clear, practical, and business‑focused recommendations.
• Build your technical, analytical, and consulting skills through continuous learning, coaching, and exposure to a broad range of industries.
• Your first years will provide a strong foundation in IT auditing and technology assurance, while gradually exposing you to broader technology risk, compliance, certification, and advisory engagements.

Your Profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Business Engineering, Applied Economics, Commercial Sciences, Computer Science, Cyber Security, Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• Strong interest in technology, digital transformation, cyber security, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and technology risk management.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Dutch.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking skills.
• Comfortable working with data and technology and eager to learn how technology supports business processes and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with data analytics, scripting, automation, or AI‑enabled tools is considered a plus.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or other Large Language Models (LLMs) to enhance productivity, analysis, and research.
• Knowledge of frameworks such as COBIT, ITIL, ISO 27001, NIST, or related certifications is considered a plus.
• Team player with a curious mindset, strong sense of ownership, and a desire to continuously learn and grow.
• Thrives in a dynamic, international, and multidisciplinary environment.
