Job summary

AXIANS EI in Brussels is seeking a SharePoint Administrator to join our team and oversee the administration, maintenance, configuration, and optimization of SharePoint environments. You will ensure high availability, performance, security, and stability while collaborating with end users and stakeholders.

You will design, implement, and maintain SharePoint farms, manage Windows Server integration, and develop automation scripts in PowerShell.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years professional SharePoint design and admin experience.
• Experience with SharePoint 2016/2019 farms.
• PowerShell scripting for automation and configuration.
• Knowledge of Windows Server administration and maintenance.
• Understanding of security, backups, and governance in SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain SharePoint Server Edition farms, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Perform installation, configuration, maintenance, and upgrades of SharePoint environments and related components.
• Manage and monitor Windows Server environments and ensure their effective integration with SharePoint.
• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation, configuration management, and troubleshooting.
• Implement security best practices and ensure the security and compliance of SharePoint environments, including security infrastructure and backup processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve SharePoint-related performance, connectivity, configuration, and access issues.
• Administer SharePoint site collections, user permissions, access rights, and content.
• Provide technical support, documentation, and training to end users and relevant stakeholders.
• Monitor Microsoft best practices, patches, and updates to maintain system stability and security.
• Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to ensure reliable and secure operation of SharePoint environments.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a SharePoint Administrator to join our team in Brussels. In this role, you will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, configuration, and optimization of SharePoint environments, ensuring high availability, performance, security, and system stability. You will work within an international environment, supporting critical information systems and collaborating with end users and stakeholders.

What you will do on a daily base

• Design, implement, and maintain SharePoint Server Edition farms, ensuring high availability and performance;
• Perform installation, configuration, maintenance, and upgrades of SharePoint environments and related components;
• Manage and monitor Windows Server environments and ensure their effective integration with SharePoint;
• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation, configuration management, and troubleshooting;
• Implement security best practices and ensure the security and compliance of SharePoint environments, including security infrastructure and backup processes;
• Troubleshoot and resolve SharePoint-related performance, connectivity, configuration, and access issues;
• Administer SharePoint site collections, user permissions, access rights, and content;

Your Key Skills

• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities;
• Strong knowledge of SharePoint administration and infrastructure;
• Ability to work effectively with Windows Server environments;
• Strong scripting and automation capabilities using PowerShell;
• Good understanding of network security, authentication mechanisms, and security protocols;
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex system issues efficiently;
• Strong attention to system security, stability, and performance;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Your Main Qualifications

• Proven professional experience of 4-5 years in the design, installation, configuration, and maintenance of SharePoint 2016/2019 farms;
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Windows Server 2016, 2019, and/or 2022 administration and maintenance;
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and configuration tasks;
• Experience with SharePoint site collection administration, user permissions, and content management;
• Understanding of network security, authentication mechanisms, and security protocols;
• Familiarity with SQL Server administration in relation to SharePoint databases;
• Experience implementing security, backup, and system maintenance best practices within SharePoint environments;
• Strong experience troubleshooting SharePoint performance, connectivity, and access-related issues.
