Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Senior Scientist (M/F) in Discovery Process Research (DPR) at the Beerse campus near Antwerp, Belgium. You will drive synthetic chemistry solutions to enable discovery and translation of new therapeutics, collaborating across Discovery and Development teams to overcome bottlenecks.

Qualifications

• PhD in Synthetic, Organic or Medicinal Chemistry required; postdoc or up to 3 years pharma R&D a plus.
• Experience in methodology development, catalysis, total synthesis or similar.
• Proven track record with peer-reviewed publications; HT experimentation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop novel synthetic chemistry solutions to enable discovery of therapeutics.
• Identify creative solutions for chemistry bottlenecks across multiple projects.
• Collaborate across Pharmaceutical R&D to translate chemistry into scalable routes.
