Worldwide Flight Services, Inc. in Belgium seeks a Ramp Dispatcher to oversee, coordinate, and optimize all airport ramp operations, including flight scheduling, staff management, safety, procedures, and stakeholder relations, while ensuring compliance, operational performance, and team engagement.

The successful candidate will lead ramp coordinators, ensure timely and cost-efficient loading of cargo, and manage client communications to align on needs and performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 15 years of proven experience in warehouse management and air freight logistics.
• Strong verbal and written communication in French and English.
• Exceptional leadership and people management capabilities.
• Strong organizational and decision-making abilities.
• Analytical mindset with data-driven improvement skills.
• Experience in handling special cargo operations.
• Knowledge of weight and balance.

Responsabilités

• Flight Schedule Management: Monitor and follow up on flight schedules and operational planning to ensure efficient and timely operations.
• Documentation & Procedures: Prepare, maintain, and update service-level agreements (SLA), standard operating procedures (SOP), local operating procedures (LOP), and other relevant documentation.
• Special Cargo Handling: Oversee and calculate the requirements for handling special cargo, ensuring compliance with all relevant safety and airline regulations.
• Special Loads & Oversized Cargo: Follow up on special loads and perform oversized cargo calculations to ensure secure and optimized cargo loading.
• Client Communication: Regularly initiate and/or participate in review meetings with clients to align on needs, expectations, and warehouse performance.
• Team Direction & Supervision: Direct and support ramp coordinators and ramp teams in supervising and optimizing daily operations.
• Operational Guidelines: Develop, implement, and monitor work procedures and operational guidelines to ensure effectiveness and excellence.
• Team Leadership & People Management: Lead and oversee the operational team with a strong focus on coaching, motivating, and managing people effectively.
• Employee Engagement: Actively engage with team members to foster a positive work environment and maintain high motivation levels.
• Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure the highest standards of health and safety are consistently maintained across all operational activities.
• Stakeholder Relations: Maintain and nurture strong relationships with external stakeholders including the airport authority, customs, and other relevant institutions.
• Performance Monitoring & KPI Analysis: Continuously monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as costs, budgets, staffing metrics, volumes, and productivity.
• Loading Process Oversight: Supervise the loading process, ensuring full compliance with safety standards and airline-specific procedures.
• Cross-Department Communication: Ensure effective and clear communication with all other departments within WFS Belgium to promote collaboration and operational alignment.
