CareerBee is partnering with a Europe-wide fast-growing high-tech manufacturing group seeking an experienced R&D Project Manager in Leuven, Belgium. You will own complex R&D product development projects from concept to release, coordinating electronics, optics, firmware and sensor teams.

You bring 5+ years of independent leadership in cross-functional R&D and a master’s or PhD in a related field, with fluent English and strong international stakeholder skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience independently leading complex R&D / new product development projects
• Technical background in electronics, electrical engineering, semiconductors, photonics, optics, embedded systems
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams in a high-tech product development environment
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills in an international environment
• Fluent English

Responsabilités

• Take full ownership of complex R&D product development projects, from initial requirements to product release
• Define and manage project scope, timelines, milestones, budgets, resources and risks
• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams across electronics, embedded software/firmware, optics, mechanics and sensor tech
• Plan resources and negotiate priorities with R&D managers and stakeholders
• Drive project execution, identify risks and take corrective action when needed
• Lead project meetings and align technical teams with management and stakeholders
• Monitor progress and report on budget, risks and milestones
• Ensure delivery of technically complex products within time, cost and quality targets
