CareerBee is seeking an experienced R&D Project Manager for Leuven, Belgium, to lead complex product development in infrared sensor and imaging technologies. You will drive cross-functional teams across electronics, optics and embedded software, aligning stakeholders and delivering high-quality results.

The role requires a strong technical background, 5+ years of leadership in R&D, and the ability to manage budgets and timelines in an international environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of independent R&D project leadership.
• Strong background in electronics, optics, photonics, or embedded systems.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, scope, schedules and risks.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams in high-tech product development.
• Advanced degree in a relevant technical discipline is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Take ownership of complex R&D product development projects from concept to release.
• Define and manage project scope, timelines, milestones, budgets, resources and risks.
• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams across electronics, embedded software/firmware, optics, mechanics and sensor tech.
• Plan resources and negotiate priorities with R&D managers and stakeholders.
• Drive execution, identify risks and deviations, and take corrective action as needed.
• Lead project meetings and ensure alignment between technical teams, management and stakeholders.
• Monitor performance and report progress, budget, risks and milestones.
• Deliver technically complex products within agreed time, cost and quality targets.
