Itproposal is seeking a Senior R&D Engineer to design, develop and optimize complex software in a C++ and Linux-based environment. The role blends hands-on coding with technical leadership and coaching of development teams.

You will lead design reviews, drive Agile processes, manage CI/CD pipelines, and contribute to high-performance software for telecom or mission-critical systems. Dutch language proficiency (C2) is required; remote work is possible from Belgium.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in software development.
• Strong experience with C++, Linux, Git, and CI/CD.
• Proven experience in an R&D or technically complex environment.
• Experience leading and coaching development teams.
• Strong programming, testing, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of CMake, DevOps, and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with embedded or high-performance software is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Python, SIP, or 3GPP/MCX is a plus.
• Experience with telecom, communication, or mission-critical systems is advantageous.
• Dutch: CEFR C2/native-level proficiency.
