Job summary

DataCamp seeks a Senior Product Engineer who can own large, ambiguous projects from idea to impact with autonomy. You will prototype, measure, and iterate rapidly, partnering with Product, Design, and fellow engineers to ship high-quality work and refine details for scale.

This AI-native team relies on agentic coding tools like Claude Code and Codex, plus LLMs and AI APIs, to accelerate development and improve code quality for people who rely on our platform.

Qualifications

• 7+ years building software across the stack with modern web tech.
• Strong experience with TypeScript, Node.js and React is a big plus.
• Startup or fast-growth environment experience preferred.
• AI-native tooling (Claude Code, Codex) used daily.
• Expert knowledge of API design and microservices architecture.
• Track record delivering large, ambiguous problems end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Own product or platform projects end-to-end — idea, build, release, measurement, iteration.
• Shape the technical direction of the systems you work on from architecture through implementation.
• Own the services you ship and keep them scalable, reliable, and observable, increasingly powered by LLMs.
• Raise the bar for technical decisions and architecture, including testing and observability.
• Use data, metrics, and user feedback to decide what to build next.
• Grow engineers through mentorship and thoughtful code review.
