We are currently looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our Operations team.
Your Role
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting our production and utility systems with a high level of autonomy. You will ensure the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated systems while complying with GMP, safety, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance Operations
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production and utility equipment.
- Diagnose complex technical issues and implement sustainable solutions.
- Conduct root cause analyses to prevent recurrence of failures.
- Monitor alarms through SCADA systems and proactively address potential system downtime.
- Ensure equipment compliance with safety and GMP requirements.
- Support and coach less experienced technicians on technical matters and GMP best practices.
- Act as a technical reference within the team and contribute to knowledge sharing.
Safety, GMP & Compliance
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized working environment following 5S principles.
- Strictly adhere to safety procedures, including PPE, LOTOTO, ATEX, and chemical handling requirements.
- Participate actively in safety improvement initiatives.
- Ensure accurate GMP documentation in logbooks, batch records, and SAP systems.
- Continuously update knowledge through SOPs, GMP training, and e-learning modules.
Planning & Coordination
- Execute maintenance priorities in coordination with Team Leaders and Supervisors.
- Communicate proactively regarding delays, risks, and unforeseen events.
- Participate in annual shutdown activities and major maintenance projects.
- Support shift handovers and team meetings to ensure operational continuity.
- Be willing to participate in an on-call rotation and work weekends according to scheduling requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
- Contribute to maintenance plan optimization and standardization initiatives.
- Manage spare parts needs and support inventory optimization.
- Propose and implement process and technical improvements.
Your Profile
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanics, or equivalent through experience.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar maintenance role within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or highly regulated manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of GMP requirements and quality systems.
- Experience with SAP, SCADA, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Analytical mindset with a continuous improvement approach.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and make autonomous decisions.
- Team player with excellent communication skills.
- Fluent in Dutch or French, with a working knowledge of technical English.
- Flexible and willing to work in shifts, weekends, and on-call rotations.
