Hitachi Energy Belgium N.V. is seeking a Power Electronics Research and Development Engineer to lead development of advanced control technologies for next‑generation power electronic systems.

You will drive innovation in converter control, grid‑connected power electronics, digital control architectures, and intelligent energy management solutions, collaborating with global R&D teams to enable grid modernization and transformer applications.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a related engineering field.
• Strong background in power electronics and control theory.
• Experience with grid-connected power electronics and converters.

Responsabilités

• Lead RD activities focused on control systems for power electronic converters.
• Develop control algorithms for voltage‑source, bidirectional, and grid‑forming converters.
• Model, simulate, and verify systems using MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, PSCAD, and RTDS.
• Lead hardware‑in‑the‑loop and real‑time simulation activities.
• Collaborate across teams to optimize system performance and mentor engineers.
