Volvo Group is seeking a Senior Developer Platform Engineer to join our Onsite Digital Solutions team. In this role you will take ownership of the monitoring and automation platform, drive innovation, ensure operational excellence, and mentor colleagues as we enhance our automation and observability capabilities.

Based in a hybrid Belgium setup, you will collaborate with IT Management and IT Technicians to shape the monitoring strategy, implement scalable digital solutions, and guide

Qualifications

• Development background with proficiency in at least two programming languages (e.g.: C#, JavaScript, Go, Python, Java, or similar).
• Acquaintance with Azure DevOps, ability to create and leverage its pipelines and associated infrastructure.
• Experience building and working with containerised workloads.
• Scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, Power Automate or similar).
• Good knowledge of networking and IT infrastructure and associated protocols.
• Excellent problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
• Strong communicator with the ability to influence and guide others.
• Familiarity with working in an agile team.

Responsabilités

• Drive the design, configuration, and optimization of our monitoring and automation platform.
• Define and implement best practices for observability, monitoring, and alerting for our users.
• Develop advanced automation workflows and tools to reduce manual effort and increase reliability for both our users and us.
• Architect and code missing capabilities for our platform, including integrations with hardware and systems being monitored, business platforms.
• Collaborate with developers, operations, and product teams to deliver end‑to‑end digital solutions.
• Act as a technical expert and advisor, guiding colleagues and stakeholders.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge‑sharing across the organization.
• Play a key role in shaping the roadmap for monitoring, automation, and digital services.
