Job summary

Agomab is seeking a Senior Project Toxicologist to lead non-clinical safety within cross-functional drug development teams. The role shapes safety strategy, supports global health-authority interactions and informs external-asset decisions.

Responsibilities include designing phase-appropriate non-clinical plans, managing outsourced studies, and integrating safety data to advise on benefit–risk decisions. Based in Antwerp with flexible remote options.

Qualifications

• PhD/DVM/PharmD or equivalent with postdoctoral or specialist toxicology training.

Responsibilities

• Own non-clinical safety strategy and deliver an integrated development plan.
• Develop phase-appropriate non-clinical/toxicity plans with budgets and timelines.
• Oversee outsourced toxicology and safety pharmacology studies from candidate selection to first-in-human.
• Integrate toxicology with DMPK and translational data to assess human relevance and risk.
• Define company non-clinical safety positions for global health-authority submissions.
• Evaluate external assets and in-licensing opportunities with safety input.
• Strengthen the preclinical safety function to meet standards.
