Parallel Consulting seeks an experienced network security engineer to diagnose and resolve complex enterprise issues, focusing on Fortinet solutions and SD-WAN. You will design, implement, and maintain Fortinet platforms, ensuring secure and resilient networks.

You will administer FortiGate, FortiManager, and FortiAnalyzer, while applying automation via Ansible and Git. Strong routing knowledge (BGP/OSPF) and IaC practices are required to succeed in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must have strong knowledge of enterprise networking and security.
• Experience with Fortinet security solutions (FortiGate/Manager/Analyzer).
• Familiarity with BGP/OSPF and dynamic routing.
• Automation and IaC tooling experience (Ansible, Git).

• Diagnose and resolve advanced networking and security issues across enterprise environments.
• Design, implement, and maintain Fortinet security solutions.
• Administer and support FortiGate, FortiManager, and FortiAnalyzer platforms.
• Troubleshoot and optimise dynamic routing technologies including BGP and OSPF.
• Deploy and enhance SD-WAN architectures and segmented network environments.
• Improve security posture through hardening initiatives and performance tuning.
• Develop and maintain automation workflows using tools such as Ansible and Git.
• Support Infrastructure-as-Code principles and contribute to configuration standardisation.
• Plan, document, and execute technical changes within production environments.
• Conduct problem management activities, including root cause investigations and preventative improvements.
• Work closely with architects, consultants, and technical teams to deliver network and security projects.
