Senior Network Engineer – NATO Operations & Routing

Job summary

Aegis Vision in Belgium is seeking an experienced network engineer to fault-resolve routing and switching infrastructure across NATO sites, maintain standardized networks, and support exercises.

You will design, configure, and test routing scenarios, contribute to SOPs, and support NATO operations. A NATO Cosmic Top Secret clearance is required with CCNP certification and strong Cisco background.

Qualifications

• 4+ years Cisco routing & switching experience required.
• CCNP certification mandatory at minimum.
• Experience with monitoring tools like Splunk or HP OpenView.
• Proficiency with routing protocols and LAN technologies.
• Scripting/automation experience (Python, Perl) desirable.
• Security tech knowledge (IPsec, firewalls, IDS) preferred.
• Clearance: NATO Cosmic Top Secret required.

Responsibilities

• Perform fault resolution on routing & switching infrastructure.
• Support troubleshooting across NATO sites.
• Maintain and standardize network infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures.
• Configure and test network scenarios.
• Design, configure, and maintain routing infrastructure.
• Evaluate tools and propose improvements.
• Conduct site surveys and system acceptance testing.
• Support NATO operations and exercises.
