Job summary

A multinational defence organisation in Mons seeks a senior network engineer to manage enterprise network operations on-site. You will read telemetry, troubleshoot complex routing and lead the response to outages to restore services within targets.

Requirements include CCNP Enterprise or equivalent, 7+ years of hands-on experience, deep routing knowledge, and proficiency with Splunk and monitoring tools. Flexibility for outside-hours work is expected.

• Read logs/telemetry to spot risk before outages.
• Lead response during critical outages and keep stakeholders informed.

• Serve as senior escalation point for complex network problems.

When the network goes down at the worst moment, you are the one they call.

A multinational defence organisation in Mons runs a large enterprise network from its own operations centre, and it needs senior engineers at second line - people who can read the telemetry, find the fault and bring the service back while everyone else is still asking what happened. Three seats are open, fully on site.

What you would be doing

• Running day-to-day network operations: tickets, incidents, work orders, changes and problem records
• Configuring, tuning and troubleshooting routing and switching - BGP, OSPF and STP
• Watching the estate with Splunk, CA Spectrum and similar tools, and building the dashboards, alerts and reports that make trouble visible early
• Reading logs and telemetry to spot risk before it becomes an outage
• Leading the response when something critical fails, keeping stakeholders informed and getting the service back inside its targets
• Automating configuration management, backups and change checks, and keeping the documentation and procedures accurate
• Being the senior escalation point for the network problems nobody else can crack

What you would bring

• CCNP (Enterprise) or an equivalent advanced networking certification
• Seven or more years of hands‑on enterprise network engineering and operations
• Deep routing and switching knowledge - BGP, OSPF, STP
• Splunk for monitoring, log analysis, dashboards and alerting, plus other network monitoring tools
