You will coordinate technical choices across mechanical, electronics, systems engineering, AIT, manufacturing and quality disciplines. In close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, suppliers and customers, you will help maintain compliant design baselines and ensure performance, quality, schedule and risk objectives are met.

Key responsibilities
  • Lead the development of space-qualified compliant mechanisms across the full lifecycle
  • Establish and maintain technical requirements, architectures and design baselines in line with ECSS and NASA standards
  • Drive trade-off analyses and engineering decisions throughout concept, design, verification and delivery phases
  • Coordinate mechanism development activities across mechanical, electronics, systems engineering, AIT, manufacturing and quality disciplines
  • Define and support verification, qualification and acceptance test campaigns for high-reliability mechanisms
  • Provide technical oversight of suppliers and subcontractors, including follow-up and procurement support
  • Contribute to customer reviews and deliver technical presentations during major project milestones
What we're looking for
  • Hold a master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics or a related engineering discipline
  • Have at least 5 years of experience in the development of mechanisms or closely related hardware
  • Bring experience with deployment, release, pointing, latching or precision motion mechanisms
  • Understand requirements management, design reviews, verification planning and technical risk management
  • Have knowledge of mechanism sizing, tolerance analysis, tribology, reliability engineering and space product assurance principles
  • Have experience with environmental testing of space hardware, including vibration, shock, thermal vacuum and life testing
  • Are familiar with ECSS, NASA standards, MBSE tools, DOORS or Jama
  • Show strong problem-solving skills, curiosity, passion and a willingness to learn
