Job summary

Arbalett in Belgium is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to own the full design cycle—from 3D modelling to early production trials—for custom precision tooling in a high-skill environment. You will collaborate with sales and clients, apply thermal and mechanical analyses, and deliver robust tooling solutions; a one-year internal European training program supports progression.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in mechanical or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in CAD/DAO; tooling/extrusion experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in a 3D modelling tool (SolidWorks, CATIA, Inventor).
• Familiarity with thermal or mechanical simulation tools.
• Strong communicator with client-facing experience.
• Trilingual NL/EN/FR essential.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end design from 3D modelling to production trials.
• Support sampling and pre-series phases in production workshop.
• Validate tools using high-precision measuring instruments.
• Design optimized geometric solutions balancing performance and feasibility.
• Contribute to thermal and mechanical simulations to validate design choices.
• Provide technical support to sales and clients on product-related issues.
• Interact with clients on product-related technical aspects (phone, Teams, on-site visits).
