Vivid Resourcing is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead development of new and existing products across the full lifecycle, from concept through production. This hands-on role combines design, problem solving, and project ownership, translating requirements into robust mechanical solutions while considering performance, reliability, cost, and manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
• Significant professional experience in mechanical engineering and product development.
• Strong experience with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks; familiarity with other CAD packages.
• Proven track record taking mechanical products from concept to production.
• Solid understanding of design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with prototyping, testing, and design validation.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with a practical engineering approach.
• Experience in multidisciplinary product development teams.
• Comfortable taking technical ownership and guiding others.
• Experience with mechanisms or electromechanical assemblies is a plus.
• Strong communication to provide guidance to engineers.

Responsabilités

• Lead the mechanical development of new products from concept through to production.
• Translate product and customer requirements into robust mechanical designs.
• Develop concepts, evaluate design approaches, and contribute to architecture.
• Create detailed 3D CAD models, assemblies, and 2D drawings.
• Design components, enclosures, structures, mechanisms, and assemblies.
• Select materials, components, and manufacturing processes.
• Perform mechanical calculations and analysis to validate designs.
• Develop prototypes and coordinate testing and validation activities.
• Identify and resolve design issues throughout development.
• Optimize products for performance, reliability, cost, manufacturability, and serviceability.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and suppliers to transition designs to production.
• Support design reviews, risk assessments, verification, and validation.
• Investigate and improve existing products with design enhancements.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, drawings, BOMs, and specs.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams and provide technical leadership.
