iO Associates partners with a European space technology company expanding its engineering team to support spacecraft and space infrastructure programmes. A Senior Mechanical Engineer is sought for ownership of challenging mechanical design activities within a highly innovative environment.

The role focuses on leading structural and thermal analyses, guiding junior engineers, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across systems, electronics, and manufacturing to deliver from concept

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer within the space sector.
• Strong background in structural analysis, thermal analysis, finite Element Analysis (FEA), and mechanical design.
• Ability to take ownership of projects and provide technical leadership.
• Strong communication skills and experience working within multidisciplinary teams.
• Previous mentoring or coaching experience would be advantageous.
• EU citizenship is required due to project restrictions.

iO Associates are currently partnered with an exciting European space technology company that is expanding its engineering team to support a growing portfolio of spacecraft and space infrastructure programmes.

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer who combines strong analytical capability with hands‑on engineering expertise and can provide guidance and mentorship to more junior team members.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced space engineer looking to take ownership of challenging mechanical design activities within a highly innovative environment.
