Datashift NV seeks a Senior Manager in AI Governance who can turn the EU AI Act into practical governance for clients. You’ll operate at the intersection of regulation, business and technology, advising on responsible AI and guiding initiatives from assessment to implementation.

The role includes a commercial component: supporting business development, growing the AI governance practice, and helping clients realize value while meeting evolving digital and data regulations.

Qualifications

• 8–15+ years in consulting, risk, or regulatory environments.
• Strong experience in AI Governance / Responsible AI / AI Risk.
• Solid understanding of the EU AI Act.
• Languages: English and Dutch fluency, good French understanding.

We are looking for a Senior Manager in AI Governance who can help organizations make sense of the EU AI Act and translate it into something that actually works in practice.

You’ll operate at the intersection of regulation, business and technology, advising clients on responsible AI, setting up governance frameworks, and guiding them from initial assessment to real implementation.

This is far more than a compliance role. You will help organizations unlock the value of AI by translating regulatory requirements into practical, scalable, and future-proof solutions. In addition, the role includes a commercial component, where you will support business development efforts, contribute to client discussions, and help grow the AI governance practice.

You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders, combining content expertise, client advisory and delivering leadership to build long-term AI governance capabilities. At the same time, you help grow the practice and shape how we support clients in this space.

Requirements

Your expertise

• 8–15+ years in consulting, risk, or regulatory environments
• Strong experience in AI Governance / Responsible AI / AI Risk
• Solid understanding of the EU AI Act
• Good to solid understanding of the different types of AI including data science, machine learning, Generative AI and Agentic AI .
• Proven track record in assessments, transformations, and stakeholder management
• Strong interest in data governance, security, and compliance
• Languages: Fluent in English and Dutch , with a good understanding of French.
