KCS IT is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer (Mainframe) in Belgium. You will design, develop and maintain backend systems in mainframe environments, work in a hybrid setup (Belgium - 2/3 days per week), and collaborate with IT and business stakeholders across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend software development experience.
• Strong mainframe experience with COBOL, PL/1, EGL, DB2 and related tools.
• Able to translate business requirements into designs and technical specs.
• Experience analyzing specs, defining program structures, and implementing solutions.
• Experience creating tests, modifying programs, and supporting production.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and collaborate across teams.
