Job summary

Mane Contract Services is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor for a major data centre project in Mons, Belgium. The role focuses on commercial and contractual management of M&E packages, coordinating with delivery, engineering and commercial teams to control costs, subcontractor accounts, variations and forecasts.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in M&E or large construction, strong cost control and contract admin, advanced Excel, and track record with large-scale mission-critical projects.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor, Project Quantity Surveyor or M&E Quantity Surveyor.
• Experience working within M&E construction, building services or major construction projects.
• Strong understanding of subcontractor commercial management and contract administration.
• Experience managing variations, valuations, payment applications and final accounts.
• Strong cost control, forecasting and commercial reporting experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial and contractual performance of assigned Mechanical and Electrical packages.
• Administer subcontractor accounts, valuations, payments and final accounts.
• Prepare, evaluate and negotiate variations, change events and contract amendments.
• Review and manage subcontract documentation to ensure contractual compliance.
• Prepare and submit interim payment applications and supporting documentation.
• Monitor project costs, expenditure and commitments against approved budgets.
• Produce cost reports, cashflow forecasts and commercial performance updates.
• Support the management of contractual claims, loss and expense events and acceleration claims.
• Track site progress and verify completed quantities to support valuations and reporting.
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain accurate commercial records and audit trails to support contractual entitlement.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, construction teams and senior commercial stakeholders.
