Médiane Benelux is seeking a Senior Java Expert to join our signalling design platform team. You will design and implement microservices-based solutions with Java 21, Spring Boot, and REST APIs, in an Agile context.

A strong business mindset, security awareness, and documentation discipline are essential. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across Belgium, contribute to quality standards (ISO 9001, EN 50128, ISO 27001), and help ensure scalable, maintainable software for railway

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years of Java development experience.
• At least one project using Java 21.
• 5+ years with relational databases (MySQL, MariaDB, Oracle).
• 2+ years with Spring Boot and Spring Data.
• 2+ years with microservices and REST APIs.
• 10+ years with unit testing (JUnit 5, Mockito, PowerMock).
• 2+ years Agile/Scrum experience.
• 10+ years with Maven for build and dependency management.
• Experience with OpenShift and/or Kubernetes.
• 2+ years with Liquibase and/or Flyway.
• Git and GitLab proficiency.
• Strong design patterns and architecture knowledge.
• Railway systems project awareness is a plus.
