Appsierra Group seeks an experienced data engineer and backend developer to design, build, and maintain data pipelines and APIs for a content platform. You will work with Java, Python and Go within a modern, scalable architecture and collaborate closely with the solution architect.

You will set up ELT processes, manage data integrations, and ensure data quality, performance, and reliability while contributing to Agile/Scrum practices and documentation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software development or data engineering.
• You have experience with one or more backend languages (e.g., Java, Python, Go).
• You have experience with AWS services such as Lambda, SQS, EventBridge, Aurora PostgreSQL and DynamoDB.
• You have experience with Infrastructure as Code (AWS CloudFormation) and DevOps principles.
• You are a strong communicator and a real team player.
• You have experience working in an Agile/Scrum team.
• You have experience with a CMS (content management system).
• You are open-minded, eager to learn and willing to question existing assumptions.
• You have a good knowledge of Dutch.

Responsabilités

• Develop and maintain data pipelines and backend services, focusing on data engineering and backend development.
• Work with Java 21, Python and Go, and explore greenfield components in a modern architecture.
• Set up ELT processes and manage data integrations from sources to the data lake and data warehouse.
• Build and maintain backend APIs and services at the core of the content platform.
• Coordinate technical choices with the solution architect and broaden the architecture.
• Monitor data quality, performance and scalability of the solutions.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, contribute to code reviews, testing and documentation.
