Us3 Consulting is seeking a Senior IAM Engineer for a long-term contract in Brussels, Belgium. The role requires extensive identity and access management expertise with Microsoft Entra ID and SSO migrations to support enterprise clients.

You will design IAM architectures, validate sign-in flows, collaborate with DevOps and security teams, and participate in customer meetings to translate requirements into practical IAM solutions.

Senior IAM Engineer:

For one of our globally leading tech clients we are urgently looking for an experienced Senior IAM Engineer for a long contract based in Brussels, Belgium.

Key Responsibilities

1. IAM Solution Design

• Produce clear and comprehensive IAM design documents.
• Create and maintain architecture diagrams for identity and access management solutions.
• Define practical identity integration patterns based on application and business requirements.
• Translate technical and customer requirements into scalable IAM designs.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of IAM standards.

2. Microsoft Entra ID & SSO Migration

• Support the migration of applications from legacy IAM solutions to Microsoft Entra ID.
• Plan and deliver application Single Sign-On (SSO) migrations.
• Assess existing application authentication mechanisms and identify appropriate Entra ID integration approaches.
• Support identity integration activities throughout the migration lifecycle.
• Help ensure migrated applications meet security and access requirements.

3. Authentication & Access Testing

• Test and validate core sign-in and authentication flows.
• Perform access checks to ensure users receive the correct permissions.
• Identify and troubleshoot authentication or access-related issues.
• Validate IAM integrations before applications are moved into operational use.
• Provide technical input into test scenarios and acceptance activities.

4. Customer-Facing Responsibilities

• Participate in customer meetings and technical discussions.
• Understand customer requirements and translate them into practical IAM solutions.
• Explain identity architecture and integration approaches to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Work closely with customers and internal teams to resolve identity-related requirements and issues.

5. Documentation & Knowledge Transfer

• Maintain accurate operational and technical documentation.
• Document IAM architectures, integration patterns, processes, and procedures.
• Support knowledge transfer to other technical and operational teams.
• Ensure documentation remains current throughout IAM projects and migrations.

6. IAM Standards & Security

• Contribute to IAM standards and best practices.
• Support identity solutions aligned with Zero Trust principles.
• Apply appropriate security considerations when designing identity and access solutions.
• Demonstrate awareness of both modern and legacy IAM concepts.

7. DevOps & Operational Collaboration

• Work with CI/CD and Git practices for IAM-related artifacts.
• Use Windows PowerShell where appropriate for identity-related activities.
• Collaborate within ITIL/ITSM frameworks.
• Support operational processes related to identity and access management.
• Work effectively with development, infrastructure, security, and operations teams.
