Jan De Nul Group is seeking a Senior Hydrographic Surveyor to lead hydrographic surveys, install and maintain equipment, and interpret data for project teams on global maritime and offshore projects.
You will mentor surveyors, ensure safety standards, and communicate clearly with clients and suppliers while rotating between two months on site and one month off, across worldwide deployments.

Our survey teams form the foundation of accurate project execution (positioning) and follow-up (measuring and visualizing). Strengthen our team as a Senior Hydrographic Surveyor and make a direct contribution to projects with impact.
As a Senior Hydrographic Surveyor, you are responsible for planning, organizing and carrying out all hydrographic survey activities within the agreed project and quality framework. Thanks to your analytical skills, you translate complex technical issues into an efficient and qualitative approach.You are responsible for the installation, calibration and maintenance of survey and measuring equipment. You process, visualize and interpret the collected data into usable information to support the project team. In the case of operational challenges, you take proactive initiative, look for solutions and make targeted adjustments.You communicate smoothly and purposefully with clients, subcontractors and suppliers. You report clearly on contractual deliverables, closely monitor the practical execution on site and efficiently align technical innovations or equipment needs.In addition, you guide and coach surveyors and provide targeted feedback to stimulate their professional growth. You promote active knowledge sharing within the team and with headquarters. As a Senior, you embody our safety culture and ensure that it is always respected.
Two months on, one month off
As an expat on one of our global projects, you will work within a different work regime. This usually includes two months of 12-hour work days, six days a week, followed by one month off. This work regime may vary depending on the project. It is demanding work, but you will gain a wealth of knowledge and experience and during your month off, you are free to live life your way.
