Job summary

Vivadax BV is seeking a Freelance Frontend Developer for a 1-year contract in Belgium. The role is hybrid: 3 on-site days and 2 remote days, collaborating with designers and backend teams to deliver features end-to-end.

You will translate designs into reusable components, optimize performance, integrate with REST/GraphQL, and contribute to code quality with tests and reviews. Fluent English and proficiency in French or Dutch are mandatory.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of frontend development experience.
• Responsive design and modern CSS frameworks (Tailwind, SASS/SCSS, styled-components).
• Experience integrating with REST/GraphQL APIs and handling asynchronous data flows.
• Familiarity with state management solutions (Redux, NgRx, Pinia, or similar).
• Knowledge of build tools and bundlers (Vite, Webpack, npm/yarn/pnpm).
• Understanding of testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress, Playwright).
• Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows (branching, PRs).
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and SEO fundamentals is a plus.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps basics is beneficial.
• Certifications or demonstrable portfolio/projects showcasing frontend expertise.

Responsibilities

• Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality, pixel-accurate implementations.
• Build reusable components and design system elements to ensure consistency and maintainability across applications.
• Optimize application performance, including load times, rendering, and bundle size.
• Integrate frontend applications with REST/GraphQL APIs and backend services.
• Write clean, well-documented, and testable code, including unit and integration tests.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to frontend development standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with designers, backend developers, and product stakeholders to deliver features end-to-end.
• Manage state and application architecture using modern patterns (e.g., Redux, Context API, NgRx).
• Support CI/CD workflows, including builds, testing, and automated deployments.
• Contribute to frontend development standards and practices.
