Job summary

Esko, a Veralto company, is seeking a Senior Front-End Software Engineer in Ghent (Sint-Denijs-Westrem), Belgium, to design, develop and evolve the Cloud Viewer and Graphics Processing Services. The Cloud Viewer powers Esko’s cloud applications, enabling artwork visualization and accurate printability across the packaging lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, Mathematics or Physics or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional software development, including cloud-based web apps.
• Proven production experience with TypeScript and React.
• Experience designing extensible UI APIs, reusable components, and scalable front-end apps.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain front-end functionality for the Cloud Viewer platform.
• Contribute to architecture for a reusable, scalable UI component across Esko’s cloud apps.
• Collaborate with UX, developers, QA and product stakeholders to deliver new features and improve UX.
• Write clean, high-quality code; participate in peer reviews and Scrum ceremonies.
• Investigate and resolve production issues affecting customers.

Reporting and Role Position

Reporting to the R&D Team Lead, the Senior Front-End Software Engineer is responsible for designing, developing and evolving our Cloud Viewer and Graphics Processing Services. The Cloud Viewer sits at the heart of Esko’s cloud applications, including WebCenter, WebCenter Go and WebCenter Pack. It powers artwork visualization, printability validation, graphic information analysis, color accuracy verification and approval workflows for some of the world’s best-known brands. You’ll play a key role in shaping its next chapter: a shared, scalable viewer architecture that serves every Esko cloud application and the people who rely on it. This position is part of the Cloud Graphics Team, located in Ghent (Sint-Denijs-Westrem), Belgium, and will be In this role, a typical day will look like:

Key Responsibilities

• Designing, developing and maintaining front-end functionality for the Cloud Viewer platform
• Contributing to the architecture that makes the Cloud Viewer a reusable, scalable component across Esko’s cloud applications
• Collaborating with UX engineers, developers, QA engineers and product stakeholders to deliver new features and improve the user experience
• Writing clean, maintainable, high-quality code and taking part in peer code reviews and Scrum ceremonies
• Investigating and resolving production issues affecting customers

Essential Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, Mathematics or Physics, or a Bachelor’s degree combined with extensive, proven industry experience
• 5+ years of professional software development experience, including building cloud-based web applications
• Proven production experience with TypeScript and React
• Experience designing extensible UI APIs, reusable component/widget patterns and performant, scalable front-end applications
• Fluent English, written and spoken
