Job summary

ITS Group Benelux is seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer to join a dedicated security team in a banking environment in Belgium. You will operate and evolve firewall infrastructures, focusing on Palo Alto Networks and Fortinet technologies, with hands-on responsibility for production incidents and changes.

You will work across Security, Network and Infrastructure teams to implement hardening, tune rules, analyze logs and provide documentation to ensure robust, compliant network security.

Qualifications

• Must have strong experience in Network Security / Firewall Engineering.
• Proficient with Palo Alto Networks, Panorama and Fortinet/FortiGate.
• Experience with FortiManager and firewall policy/rule management.
• Strong TCP/IP and networking fundamentals.
• Experience in critical production environments and incident/change management.
• Ability to analyze network traffic, firewall logs and optimize rules.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain Palo Alto and Fortinet firewall environments, using Panorama and FortiManager.
• Manage, update and optimize firewall security policies and rules.
• Analyze network flows and firewall logs to troubleshoot connectivity and security issues.
• Perform firewall rule optimisation and security hardening.
• Support network security and segmentation requirements, including production incidents and changes.
• Collaborate with multiple technical teams and create/maintain technical documentation.
