Job summary

CFOrent in Belgium is seeking a motivated (Sr.) Associate (Fluently Dutch-speaking) to strengthen our CFO-as-a-service team. You will work hand-in-hand with seasoned CFOs and business leaders, supporting ambitious startups and scale-ups in growth, funding, and strategic decisions.

You’ll drive transformation from the financial cockpit of Belgium’s dynamic companies, identifying funding opportunities, building compelling decks, assisting in M&A, and enhancing management reporting.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in finance, business economics, or related field.
• +3‑5 years of experience in Audit, Controlling, M&A.
• Strong command of Excel and data analysis tools.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.

Responsibilities

• Identify and support funding and lending opportunities.
• Craft compelling pitch decks and business cases for boards and investors.
• Assist in M&A transactions, from IM preparation to due diligence.
• Maintain and optimize financial structures to support scaling businesses.
• Help minimize costs, maximize profitability, and streamline processes.
• Build and refine management reporting systems for real‑time insights.

• Master’s degree in finance, business economics, or a related field
• +3‑5 years of relevant experience (Audit, Controlling, M&A)
• Strong command of Excel and data analysis tools
• Fluent in Dutch (required) and English — any additional languages are a plus
• You’re Belgium‑based and have a good understanding of the local business landscape
