Job summary

Médiane Benelux is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Architect to review and modernize a complex embedded software architecture for a defense sector client. The role focuses on improving modularity, maintainability, and scalability of embedded products in a demanding technical environment, with on-site presence required.

You will lead architectural reviews, define target architectures, and mentor technical teams while promoting design standards and best practices across large-scale legacy

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent technical background.
• 10+ years embedded software development and architecture.
• Strong C++ expertise.
• Solid Real-Time Linux knowledge.
• Knowledge of design patterns and modular architecture.
• Experience with UML and/or SysML.
• Experience with large-scale legacy software systems.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
• Able to communicate architecture decisions clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Job Description

Our client, a company operating in the defense sector, is looking for a Senior Embedded Software Architect to support the review and modernization of a complex software architecture.

The objective is to improve the modularity, maintainability and scalability of embedded software products operating in a demanding technical environment.

Your responsibilities

• Review the existing embedded software architecture.

Profile / Requirements

• Engineering degree or equivalent technical background.
• At least 10 years of experience in embedded software development and architecture.
• Strong expertise in C++.
• Solid knowledge of Real-Time Linux environments.
• Good understanding of software design patterns and modular architecture.
• Experience with UML and/or SysML.
• Proven experience working with large-scale legacy software systems.
• Strong coaching, mentoring and technical leadership skills.
• Able to communicate complex architectural decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Mandatory requirements

• Fluent French.
• On-site presence at least four days per week.
