Job summary

FTI Brussels is seeking a Financial Services sector professional with 5-10 years of experience in policy and communications, especially in public affairs. You will lead senior client accounts and shape the growth strategy of the practice.

You will build relationships with policymakers and stakeholders in Brussels and national capitals, mentor junior colleagues, and contribute to new business opportunities with an emphasis on the financial services sector.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years’ experience in a consultancy, in-house, trade body, public institution or advising clients on policy and communications issues.
• Proven skills in public affairs, advocacy, issues and reputation management in Financial Services.
• Excellent understanding and experience of working with policymakers and stakeholders in Brussels and in national capitals to develop strategic objectives, and strong knowledge of the Financial Services sector regulation and policy discussions.
• Excellent English with one or two additional languages preferable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver to clients: provide strategic advice to a portfolio of clients, manage accounts on a day-to-day basis and develop excellent relationships with client groups. Own client relationships with limited senior supervision; creatively preparing and delivering the client programme.
• Build the business: Strategize on growth and seek out new business leads by working alongside other senior members of the team on business development activities and strategy.
• Team involvement: Line management in the team and knowledge sharing and mentoring junior team members.
• Networking: proactively network with EU contacts and stakeholders as well as potential clients.
