Job summary

FTI Brussels is seeking a Senior Director in Public Affairs (Financial Services) to lead client accounts and shape strategic policy and communications guidance. The role focuses on navigating public policy, engaging with policy makers in Brussels, and growing the practice’s footprint across Europe.

You will mentor junior colleagues, drive business development, and collaborate with senior leaders to deliver client value and enhance reputational impact.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in a consultancy, in-house, trade body, public institution or advising clients on policy and communications issues.
• Proven skills in public affairs, advocacy, issues and reputation management in Financial Services.
• Excellent English with one or two additional languages preferable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver to clients: provide strategic advice to a portfolio of clients, manage accounts on a day-to-day basis and develop excellent relationships with client groups.
• Own client relationships with limited senior supervision; creatively preparing and delivering the client programme.
• Build the business: Strategize on growth and seek out new business leads by working alongside other senior members of the team on business development activities and strategy.
• Team involvement: Line management in the team and knowledge sharing and mentoring junior team members.
• Networking: proactively network with EU contacts and stakeholders as well as potential clients.
