Wlgroup in Mons, Belgium, is seeking a senior engineer to design, deploy and operate field communications infrastructure in a DevOps environment. The role is full-time on site from late September to December 2026, and you will lead technical support teams during exercises while documenting how systems work.

You will mentor junior staff, provide engineering support to plan and execute exercises, and deputise for higher-grade staff when needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree + two years of relevant experience or demonstrable ability in the field.
• Deployable or field communications infrastructure experience.
• Genuine DevOps practice: automation, monitoring, continuous change.

Responsabilités

• Provide professional and technical contribution to the design, development and execution of deployable communications engineering projects.
• Work in a DevOps environment — continuous integration, continuous change management, deployment automation and system monitoring.
• Support junior staff across incident, service request and problem management as the senior engineer and ultimate problem solver.
• Provide engineering support to plan and execute approved exercises, on site or remotely.
• Document the designs and implementations of the services you own, plus troubleshooting guides.
• Plan, schedule, participate in and lead technical support teams for projects and exercises.
• Give on-the-job training to keep the support capability sharp.
• Deputise for higher-grade staff when required.
