Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Senior Scientist, Data Science to contribute to the design, development, evaluation, and deployment of AI and generative AI systems across Therapeutics Development & Supply.

This hands-on individual contributor works across Product Development, Manufacturing, Clinical Supply Chain, Quality, and Digital and Data Science teams to build LLM applications, agentic workflows, and AI-driven automation in regulated environments.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Data Science, Life Sciences, Computer Science, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 1–3 years of hands-on experience developing AI, NLP, or ML solutions, including practical experience applying LLMs.
• Working knowledge of Pharmaceutical Product Development, including CMC.
• Proficiency in Python, with experience developing, testing, and documenting code.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and support deployment of AI solutions for documentation, knowledge retrieval, evidence synthesis, and decision support in the TDS ecosystem.
• Build and test defined components of agentic AI workflows that coordinate models, tools, data, and human review across multi-step processes.
• Implement and adapt reusable AI capabilities using established DDSAI architectures and platform standards.
• Collaborate with regulatory, quality, CMC, scientific, and technical stakeholders to translate needs into AI solution requirements.
