Expleo Belgium is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data integration solutions across cloud platforms. You will utilize Python, Spark, Hive, and SQL to deliver robust data pipelines and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with business needs.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, Data Integrator, or similar role.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Hands-on experience with Spark and Hive.
• Solid knowledge of SQL.
• Experience with AWS and Azure cloud data services.
• Experience designing ETL processes and data orchestration tools.
• Knowledge of Star Schema and Data Vault is desirable.

• Support evolution of the client's cloud data platform and architecture.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data integration and ETL solutions.
• Build and optimize data pipelines using Python, Spark, Hive, and SQL.
• Develop cloud-based data solutions on AWS and/or Microsoft Azure.
• Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK, or ARM Templates.
• Develop and maintain data orchestration workflows and automation processes.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and development teams to deliver reliable data solutions.
• Ensure data quality, performance, scalability, and security across data platforms.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support the evolution of the client's cloud data platform and architecture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer, Data Integrator, or in a similar role.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Hands-on experience with Spark and/or Hive.
• Solid knowledge of SQL.
• Strong knowledge withAWS Stack (AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform,AWS Step Functions) or Azure Stack (Microsoft Azure (AZ-104 and/or DP-203 certification is a strong asset)
• Experience with AWS cloud data services
• Experience designing and developing ETL processes and working with data orchestration tools.
• Experience working with cloud-based Data Warehouse solutions on AWS and/or Microsoft Azure.
• Good understanding of Agile methodologies.
• Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Essential skills

• Knowledge of Star Schema and/or Data Vault data modelling.
• Experience with modern cloud-native data architectures.
• Relevant cloud certifications.
• Experience working in enterprise-scale data environments.
